Job summary

TurnPoint Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain residential and light commercial HVAC systems. You will deliver reliable service, explain options to customers, and ensure work meets manufacturer specs and codes.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of field experience, EPA Universal Certification, and the ability to read wiring diagrams. You must lift up to 100 lbs, pass a clean driving record, and thrive in a customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential or light commercial HVAC service.
• EPA Universal Certification is required.
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Able to read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces and outdoor environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
• Perform routine maintenance, safety inspections, and system tune-ups.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues.
• Recommend repairs, upgrades, or system replacements and explain options to customers.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications, building codes, and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and parts usage logs.
• Collaborate with dispatch, supervisors, and other technicians to ensure timely and professional service.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergency service.
• Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and professional appearance.
