The Service Technician is a hands-on position responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of Broad-Ocean Motor products. This role involves testing, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing routine servicing, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient and high-quality service.

With a strong focus on technology and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a Service Technician to join our team in Darien, IL and provide exceptional support to our clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on Broad-Ocean Motor products, including electric motors, HVAC systems, and related components.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, or software issues.
  • Install new equipment and ensure proper functioning according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • Assist customers and clients with technical support, providing guidance on best practices for operation and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation of work performed.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to report recurring technical issues and suggest improvements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry standards, technologies, and product advancements.
  • Travel to customer sites as required for on-site service and support.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical or mechanical engineering .
  • Proven experience as a service technician, preferably in electric motors, HVAC systems, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, including wiring diagrams, schematics, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and testing equipment effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required.
