Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures is seeking an HVAC Service Technician in Woodbury, CT. The role covers diagnosing, repairing, and servicing a range of residential HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, gas/oil furnaces, boilers, and water heaters.

You will handle 4–6 calls daily while maintaining professional customer interactions and exploring upgrade opportunities. The position requires a CT S1/S2 HVAC license, EPA and OSHA certifications, and 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• CT HVAC license (S1/S2) required.
• Active EPA certification required.
• OSHA certification required.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair skills.
• Geothermal/Dektron experience considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and service residential HVAC equipment including heat pumps, mini-splits, condensers, furnaces, water heaters, and boilers.
• Work on high-efficiency equipment including geothermal units and Dektron systems.
• Handle approximately 4–6 service calls per day depending on scope.
• Interact professionally with residential customers and suggest system upgrades or replacements.
• Support expansion into light commercial and new construction markets.

Title, Location, Schedule & Pay

• Job Title: HVAC Service Technician

• Location: Woodbury, CT

• Schedule: Mon–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• On-Call Expectation: Rotating 24/7 on-call shift every third week.

• Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour (Hourly, depending on experience; negotiable for highly qualified candidates).

Job Qualifications

• Licensing: Valid Connecticut S1 or S2 HVAC license required

• Experience: 5+ years of residential HVAC service experience.

• Certifications: Active EPA certification and OSHA certification.

• Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and repair abilities. Experience with geothermal and Dektron systems is a strong plus.

• General Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean record, personal hand tools, willingness to join the rotating on-call schedule, and a strong, family-oriented work ethic.

Job Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, maintain, and service a wide variety of residential HVAC equipment, including heat pumps, mini-splits, condensers, gas & oil furnaces, water heaters (electric, gas, oil, tankless), and boilers (such as Viessmann, Buderus, and Burnham).

• Work on advanced, high-efficiency equipment, including geothermal units and Dektron systems.

• Manage and complete approximately 4 to 6 service calls per day depending on the job scope.

• Interact directly with residential customers in a professional, courteous manner, providing clear explanations of repairs and identifying opportunities for system upgrades or replacements.

• Support team expansion efforts as the business grows into light commercial and new construction markets.
