Mechanical Resource Group is seeking a Service Technician to service and repair large commercial HVAC systems across our Tennessee service area. You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair, traveling to job sites with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC services issues; or at least 3 years of independent maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting systems up to 100 tons.
• Knowledge of charging HVAC systems with various refrigerants using superheat and subcooling.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers.
• Travel to job sites in service area and coordinate with dispatch to maintain schedule.
• Document each call with recommendations, repairs, readings, and observations; obtain client signature.
• Make ethical, customer-focused decisions that balance company interests.

What you'll do

• Maintain and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for commercial customers. Diagnose and repair mechanical components of these systems.
• Travel to job sites in service area, and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.
• Perform required documentation for each call, recording recommendations, repairs, accurate readings, and observations. Have client sign necessary paperwork.
• Ability to make ethical and responsible decisions while keeping the customer and our company interests in mind.
• Provide sales personnel with qualified leads and opportunities.

• 5 years of experience with maintaining, diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing HVAC services issues or at least 3 years of experience performing maintenance on your own for a company.
• Competencies on troubleshooting systems up to 100 tons.
• Understanding on how to properly charge HVAC systems with various types of refrigerants by using superheat and subcooling.
• Excellent customer service skills with the desire to exceed customer expectations.
• A valid driver's license, safe driving record, and be able and willing to operate company-owned vehicles.
