Royal/Durham Supply in Wichita, KS is seeking a dedicated leader to guide our team of HVAC Technicians. In this full-time, year-round position, you will oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems for Manufactured Housing. At Royal/Durham, we’re recognized for providing a comprehensive range of parts and equipment for Manufactured Housing, including doors, windows, skirting, setup supplies, trim, hardware, electrical components, and HVAC systems. We offer Carrier and Revolv A/C condensing units, evaporator coils, furnaces, and other essential parts to communities throughout the area.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading your team in performing repairs and maintenance on various equipment, including refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, electric motors, heating systems, heat pumps, compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, fans, economizers, and humidifiers. Your role will ensure that all work is executed professionally, efficiently, and in strict accordance with our company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  1. Train new associates on company policies and procedures.
  2. Coach and develop associates on HVAC installation and service.
  3. Work safely and ensure safety procedures are followed by all team members.
  4. Pre-measure jobs to identify proper materials required for scope of work.
  5. Perform installation of household appliances as needed.
  6. Complete all required paperwork prior to the end of the shift.
  7. Receive, verify, and load all equipment and materials needed for each job and maintain stock levels on truck.
  8. Maintain the company’s vehicle and notify management when maintenance is required.
  9. Communicate effectively with the Service Manager to address departmental challenges.
  10. Independently address customer complaints and escalate items requiring input from the Service Manager.
  11. Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications.
  12. Handle code violations and ensure corrections are made within the required timeframe.
  13. Notify dispatcher/supervisor of job status and any delays.
  14. Perform after-hours calls in accordance with company policy.
  15. Perform sales as directed by the manager.
  16. Always perform work professionally, treat customers with respect, and report issues immediately.

Requirements

  1. Must be EPA 608 Certified.
  2. Five (5) years of experience as an HVAC installation and service technician.
  3. Master Mechanical License.
  4. Completed a trade school program in applicable field.
  5. High school diploma or GED required.
