Job summary

EST Companies is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support atmospheric water generator systems and industrial equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment start-ups while representing EST with professionalism and strong customer service.

This role requires hands-on technical skills, the ability to interpret schematics, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

  • EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (Universal or Type III)
  • HVAC certification or associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related technical fields
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals
  • Experience troubleshooting digital/analog circuitry and electric motors preferred
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools and test instruments
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills
  • Dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain military base access

Responsibilities

  • Equipment Service & Repair — Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and industrial equipment
  • Equipment Installation — Assemble, install, start up, and test new equipment at customer sites
  • Technical Troubleshooting — Diagnose issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, manuals, and test instruments
  • Field Service Work — Provide on-site and in-field service, including emergency repairs
  • Material & Parts Handling — Prepare parts, rework kits, and shipments; manage local pickups
  • Documentation & Reporting — Maintain service records, equipment histories, trip reports, and expenses
  • Customer Interaction — Build professional relationships and communicate findings clearly
  • Vehicle & Workspace Care — Keep company vehicles and work areas clean and organized
  • Safety & Compliance — Follow EST safety procedures and regulatory requirements

  • Vehicle & Workspace Care — Maintain clean, organized company vehicles and work areas.

  • Safety & Compliance — Follow all EST safety procedures, operating standards, and regulatory requirements.

Minimal travel required; occasional forklift or similar equipment operation may be assigned.

Requirements
  • EPA Refrigerant Handling Certification (Universal or Type III).
  • HVAC certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in HVAC, industrial maintenance, or related technical fields.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electronic systems.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, ladder logic, and technical manuals.
  • Experience troubleshooting digital/analog circuitry and electric motors preferred.
  • Proficiency with standard hand tools and test instruments.
  • Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills.
  • Dependable, organized, self‑motivated, and able to work under pressure.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver’s license with excellent driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain military base access and other required credentials.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs routine and up to 100 lbs occasionally; ability to work in demanding physical environments including kneeling, bending, climbing, and exposure to noise or hazards.
