Position: HVAC Service Technician - St. Louis, MO

Overview: As an HVAC Service Technician, you will educate consumers and existing clients about our company and products, leaving a favorable impression and securing sales for HVAC projects and products both commercially and residentially, directly to the end user.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment including refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, fans, economizers, and humidifiers.
2. Check in with the office after each job and at the end of each workday.
3. Complete all company forms accurately during and after each task.
4. Manage your schedule efficiently to ensure timely completion of jobs.
5. Communicate with clients before and after each service to keep them informed.
6. Obtain client signatures on necessary forms.
7. Record time spent on each job weekly.
8. Submit paperwork, checks, or cash weekly for processing.
9. Ensure all vendor invoices and packing slips are handed into the warehouse.
10. List all materials used on job forms.
11. Respond promptly to office calls and pages.
12. Coordinate with dispatch and supervisors about your status.
13. Secure parts and tools needed for jobs.
14. Call in repairs and provide necessary details for quotes.
15. Consult with supervisors or dispatch when uncertain.
16. Communicate clearly and confidently with customers, adjusting your approach as needed.
17. Maintain detailed job notes for future reference.
18. Share experiences and ideas with coworkers to improve processes.
19. Keep workspaces organized and clean, both on-site and in your vehicle.
20. Work safely and promote safety among team members.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
2. Knowledge of refrigeration cycles, components, troubleshooting, and related tools.
3. Understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting with multimeters.
4. Familiarity with air treatment processes, mechanical drawings, and heating systems.
5. Understanding of combustion theory and fuel systems.
