ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot and identify problems with residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
• Provides and uses a variety of hand tools
• Has knowledge and competency in using the company-provided power tools and measurement devices, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes to diagnose and repair units.
• Identify, order, and pick up the part or parts necessary for repair.
• Communicate problems, course of action, and cost to repair HVAC system with the home or business owner.
• Analyze, diagnose, and repair systems at customer's location.
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, and communicate them to the service manager or person in the company quoting and managing the prospective job.
• Has the ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities at the same time in a timely manner.
• Document work by completing invoices and taking payments using the company-provided iPhone.
• Knowledgeable with the products and services offered by our company and effective in the sales of those products or services
• Maintain and submit time card for accurate time accounting.
• Flexibility to work on-call shifts on a rotation basis as well as occasional overtime.

The HVAC Service Technician must:

• Have 3+ years experience as an HVAC service technician.
• Possess a Driver's License, relatively clean driving record, and pass a comprehensive background check.
• Work without direct supervision.
• Be proficient in the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
• Read and understand wiring schematics and equipment manuals in order to properly diagnose and repair units.
• Be physically capable of working easily and skillfully with hands, lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 100 pounds, climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolds, or scissor lifts.
• Be physically capable of standing, crouching, kneeling, or crawling for an extended period of time in sometimes tight spaces.
• EPA or NATE certification is a plus.
