Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support inspection, installation, repair, and maintenance of environmental control systems at customer sites in San Juan. You will join a team assisting supervisors and field technicians in delivering reliable, efficient climate solutions.

Requirements include an A.A. with HVAC diploma and 5+ years of related experience; English/Spanish reading comprehension is required. On-site field work with travel and flexible hours is common.

Responsibilities

• Assist in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
• Use hand tools to mount, assemble and repair units per blueprints.
• Use power tools and computers for service tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications.
• Maintain inventory and document all service activities.
• Determine parts to order and manage timelines.
• Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays.

Where is the work

Field-based: Work is conducted on-site at customer locations. What’s it for you: Trane at San Juan office is looking for a HVAC Service Technician and will be responsible for assisting Service Technician Supervisor and HVAC Field Supervisor in the inspection, installation, repair and maintenance of environmental control systems, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, control systems, pipe fitting, and structural layouts. If comes from union, should have the knowledge, tests approved of all the functions and skills of from levels I thru III. Proven experience and knowledge of the vast majority of Trane’s equipment’s. Non Union position.

What you will do

Assists in servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Uses variety of hand tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications, to mount, assemble, and repair units Uses power tolls and computers. Identifies, analyzes, and repairs equipment, instruments, and products at customer’s site. Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, installations, and modifications as needed or requested by customers, HVAC Service Technicians, or HVAC Service Supervisors. Maintains stock of inventory, company equipment, and documents all service-related activities (including report writing). Determines parts to order for repair and timeless of need. Performs vehicle maintenance, as necessary. Delivers parts to job sites, as necessary. Regular travels requirements with occasional overnight travel. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required. Troubleshooting skills and knowledge of HVAC equipment.

What you will bring

Associate’s degree (A. A) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school with a HVAC diploma, five or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Reading comprehension in English/Spanish language is required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Valid driver’s license HVAC Diploma Refrigeration Technician License, mandatory EPA Universal license, mandatory Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range: $20,00 Compensation Type: Hourly Incentive Eligible: No Sales Commission Eligible: No Disclaimer: We strive to provide competitive compensation for this position, tailored to a variety of factors.
