Job summary

RK Industries is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to service commercial systems in Utah. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain RTUs, boilers, AHUs, chillers, and related equipment, ensuring performance and reliability.

You will lead preventive maintenance, read schematics, and document outcomes, while communicating with facility managers and project teams. A company vehicle is provided with DOE experience and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience.
• Experience with RTUs, boilers, AHUs, VAVs, chillers, VFDs is preferred.
• EPA Universal Certification or equivalent HVAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems (RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs)
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
• Read blueprints and control schematics
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize downtime
• Document service work and recommendations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local codes

What You'll Do

• Service, maintain, and repair commercial HVAC systems including RTUs, boilers, chillers, AHUs, VAVs, and exhaust systems
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and controls issues
• Troubleshoot BAS, controls, and sensors
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and quality control
• Read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics
• Respond to emergency service calls and minimize customer downtime
• Document service work, findings, and repair recommendations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local mechanical codes
• Communicate effectively with facility managers, engineers, and project teams

What You Bring

• 4+ years of commercial HVAC experience with equipment such as RTUs, boilers, MAUs, AHUs, fans, pumps, cooling towers, VRV/VRF systems, VFDs, automation systems, and/or chillers
• Understanding of hydronic systems and DX cooling circuits/components
• EPA Universal Certification or other relevant HVAC certifications
