Summary/Objective:

The HVAC Service Technician will demonstrate proficiency in servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and cleaning heating and cooling equipment and related systems (e.g., boilers, forced air, hydronic, split systems, package units, make-up air and exhaust systems, controls) across various HVAC systems.

Essential Functions:

• Service HVAC commercial systems and ensure customer satisfaction
• Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial boiler and HVAC systems
• Follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
• Conduct preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacements, and modifications as needed
• Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layouts, gathering materials, and coordinating work
• Maintain vehicles and keep records of service manuals, scheduling, and repairs
• Document work through paperwork and maintain files
• Stay current with manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
• Provide technical support to customers
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility: None

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or residential field; or equivalent vocational training and experience
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, follow instructions, pay attention to detail, and solve problems
• Knowledge of basic electricity, electrical, and control systems
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and schematics; pass pre-employment drug screening; and complete background checks
• Adherence to company policies and procedures
• Availability to report to multiple job sites as assigned

The work environment and physical demands include:

Work Environment:

• Working in varying temperatures, both indoors and outdoors, including adverse weather conditions
• Exposure to noise, fumes, airborne particles, dust, confined spaces, and heights

Physical Demands:

• Use of heavy machinery, tools, and equipment
• Climbing, bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Use of hands for handling objects and tools; visual acuity including color differentiation

Qualifications:

• HVAC Journeyman/Master certification
• Prior military experience (preferred)
• HS diploma or GED
