Job summary

Lucky's Reliable Home Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light-commercial systems across the Tampa Bay area. You will work from a fully stocked company truck, handle service calls via our app, and represent the Lucky's brand at every door.

Requirements include 2+ years of HVAC experience, EPA 608 certification, a Florida driver’s license, and the ability to work in confined spaces.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC residential or commercial service experience.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Universal preferred; Type II minimum).
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Ability to work in attics, on rooftops, and in tight crawlspaces — Florida climate.
• Strong customer-service mindset and ability to explain technical issues in plain English.
• Comfortable using a tablet/phone for invoicing, dispatch, and customer signatures.
• Lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, stand for extended periods.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant issues on split systems, package units, mini-splits, and heat pumps.
• Perform tune-ups, preventive maintenance, repairs, and condenser/coil cleanings.
• Quote repairs at the door using our tablet and walk customers through their options.
• Recover refrigerant per EPA regulations (608 certification required for refrigerant handling).
• Complete jobs in our portal — photos, line items, customer signatures, payment collection.
• Keep your truck clean, stocked, and inventoried.
• Communicate with dispatch and the office throughout the day.
• Handle on-call rotation (typically 1 week every 6–8 weeks).
• Train new and apprentice techs as opportunities come up.

What we're looking for

Nice to have

• 5+ years of residential service experience
• Experience with commercial RTUs, ductless mini-splits, or refrigeration
• NATE certification
• Experience with HCP, ServiceTitan, or similar field service software
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
