Job summary

Design Mechanical, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Service Technician to support our Louisville, CO location. The role focuses on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R systems in commercial settings.

You will apply refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, and control systems knowledge to diagnose and fix units. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of experience with boilers, chillers, RTU installations, and split system AC/furnace service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC/R Technician.
• Boilers and chillers experience required.
• RTU install and service experience.
• Split system AC and furnace install and service skills.
• Valid CO Driver’s License and clean MVR.
• Current EPA License is required.
• Able to pass background check, drug test and physical.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Team player with leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
• Use tools to diagnose and repair units per blueprints and schematics.
• Prepare for on-site installation by coordinating materials and activities.
• Document work by completing paperwork and maintaining files.
• Stay current on manufacturers’ products for installation, operation, maintenance and repair.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Be flexible to work overtime/weekends when required.

OVERVIEW:

We are adding to our Service Department and are hiring anHVAC/R Technician. We're looking for candidates with 3+ years of experience working in Commercial HVAC applications. The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of HVAC/R systems utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Performs repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
• Uses a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair units.
• Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.
• Documents work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
• Keeps current on all manufacturers’ products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.
• Provide technical support to customers.
• Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years' experience as an HVAC/R Technician
• Boiler and Chillers experience
• RTU Install and Service
• Split System AC and Furnace Install and Service
• Valid CO Driver’s License and Clear MVR
• Current EPA License
• Can successfully pass a criminal background check, drug test, and physical ensuring you can perform the duties of the job.
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Willingness to be a team player and possess leadership qualities.
