Job summary

Magic Electric, Plumbing, Heating and Air in Jerome, Idaho seeks an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems for homes and businesses. You’ll perform tune-ups, safety inspections, and provide accurate estimates to customers.

This field-based role requires 2+ years of HVAC experience, EPA Section 608 certification, a clean driving record, and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of HVAC service, maintenance, or repair experience.
• EPA Section 608 certification required (may vary by state/region).
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation.
• Perform system tune-ups, cleanings, and preventive maintenance.
• Test and inspect equipment for safety and proper function; provide accurate recommendations and estimates.
• Complete installations of replacement parts and equipment as needed.
• Document service tickets, work orders, and job details; collect payments and manage truck inventory.
