Job summary

Wilkin Heating & A.C. Co., Inc. seeks an HVAC Service Technician to service residential and lite commercial systems on-site.

This full-time position requires troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs across heat pumps, air conditioners, furnaces and boilers, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship. Eligibility includes excellent customer service, ability to complete paperwork, a valid driver’s license and passing a background check.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer skills.
• Ability to complete all paperwork.
• Current driver’s license.
• Must pass background check.
• Experience in related HVAC service; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies, troubleshoot and repair heat pumps, A/Cs, compressors, furnaces and boilers.
• Perform preventive maintenance on systems.
• Repair complete system components.
• Read wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Work indoors and outdoors; lift, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces.
• Keep service vehicle stocked and clean.
• On-call duties after hours and on weekends.

Job Responsibilities

• Emergency response, troubleshooting, diagnosing/resolving problems and repairing Heat Pumps, Air Conditioners, Compressors, Gas and Oil furnaces and Boilers
• Performing preventive maintenance
• Repairing complete systems
• Knowledge of Electrical, Gas, Diagnostic, Air Flow
• Read wiring diagrams/schematics
• Perform manual tasks such as bending, reaching, standing, lifting, climbing ladders, working in high/tight spaces
• Indoor/Outdoor work
• Keep service vehicle stocked and clean
• Perform on-call duties after hours and weekdays/weekends

Must Have

• Excellent Customer Skills
• Ability to complete all paperwork
• Current Driver’s License
• Must pass background check
• Must have experience of related HVAC service/ Will provide training
• Standard Computer Skills
• Lite Commercial Refrigeration a plus
