Job summary

Comfortable Climate Heating, Air & Plumbing in Hampton Roads, VA is seeking a Residential HVAC Service Technician with 3+ years of experience to diagnose, repair, and service homes' heating and cooling systems. You will work Monday–Friday on a local route, with a company vehicle provided and commission opportunities.

You will troubleshoot heat pumps, furnaces, and air conditioners, perform preventive maintenance, and clearly explain options to homeowners.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential HVAC service experience.
• Independent diagnosis and troubleshooting of HVAC systems.
• Solid electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors.
• Professional communication and customer-focused mindset.
• Additional certifications such as NATE/OSHA are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems, including heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, and controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance, system inspections, and performance evaluations.
• Identify repair needs and explain options clearly to homeowners.
• Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high workmanship standards.
• Perform repairs per manufacturer specs, safety standards, and codes.
• Document completed work, recommendations, and system information accurately.
• Maintain assigned vehicle, tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Deliver a professional, respectful customer experience on every call.
• Work safely in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor conditions.

$29–$40/hour + Commission | Monday–Friday | Company Vehicle | Hampton Roads, VA

We're continuing to grow and are looking for an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician who can independently diagnose problems, perform quality repairs, and take care of customers from start to finish.

What You'll Handle

What You Bring

• Strong ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems
• Solid electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Ability to work comfortably in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoor environments
• Dependable work habits and strong attention to detail
• Professional communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset
• Pride in your workmanship and ability to take ownership of your calls
• Additional certifications such as NATE, OSHA trainings, or other industry certifications are a plus, but not required
