Job summary

The Crew – AC & Plumbing is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our Nashville-area team. You will diagnose, repair, maintain residential systems and deliver professional, courteous service.

The ideal candidate has HVAC service experience, strong diagnostic skills, and can work independently. We offer $26–$30 per hour, bonuses, overtime, PTO, paid holidays, health insurance stipend, a company vehicle, some tools, uniforms, and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Service air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and control problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Identify problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Explain issues and repair options to customers.
• Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and professionally.
• Maintain service documentation and invoices.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and tools.
• Communicate with the office regarding job status, parts, and follow-up needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes.
• Participate in an on-call or emergency service rotation as needed.

About The Position

The Crew – AC & Plumbing is looking for a skilled, dependable, and customer-focused HVAC Service Technician to join our team.

Our technicians diagnose, repair, maintain, and service residential HVAC systems while providing professional, honest, and courteous service to every customer.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Service air conditioners, heat pumps, gas furnaces, package units, air handlers, mini-splits, thermostats, and control systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, airflow, and control problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
• Accurately identify problems and recommend appropriate repairs.
• Clearly explain issues and repair options to customers.
• Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and professionally.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and invoices.
• Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle and tools.
• Communicate with the office regarding job status, parts, and follow-up needs.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes.

Qualifications

Required:

• HVAC service experience
• Knowledge of residential HVAC systems
• Ability to use electrical meters and HVAC diagnostic equipment
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Strong customer-service and communication skills
• Ability to work in attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments

Preferred:

• EPA 608 certification
• Install experience
• Light Commercial service experience
• Variable-speed/inverter experience
