Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and servicing a variety of HVAC systems, including commercial refrigeration, heat pumps, and advanced zoning controls. The ideal candidate will have leadership qualities, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to train others while providing top-tier customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of HVAC systems, including commercial coolers/chillers, heat pumps, and ductless mini-split systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve airflow and water flow issues independently.
• Complete manufacturer and company start-up and commissioning paperwork accurately and thoroughly.
• Read and interpret equipment wiring diagrams and control schematics without supervision.
• Conduct low voltage wiring, controls wiring, and system startups for all HVAC systems.
• Handle refrigeration systems in compliance with EPA regulations (Type II certification required).
• Utilize basic computer skills for dispatching, documentation, and reporting via mobile laptop systems.
• Participate in the on-call service rotation (approximately once every 4th or 5th week).
• Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, demonstrating leadership and a commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on HVAC experience with commercial and residential systems.
• Expertise in hydronic systems, radiant in-floor heating, snow melt systems, baseboard heating, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, humidification, and zoning controls.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• NATE certification is preferred but not required.
• 1-year technical school certification is preferred.
• Experience with high-velocity/high-pressure systems, variable air volume (VAV), and zoning controls is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently while demonstrating leadership, trust, and ethical decision-making in every service call.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
