Job Title: Residential Service Technician

Summary/Objective

Qualifications/Experience

• Must pass drug and background screens
• Valid driver’s license and insurable through company insurance
• Clear communication skills in English, verbal and written
• Ability to safely use relevant tools
• HVAC training completion preferred
• EPA Certification or obtain within 3 months
• Minimum 6 months HVAC service experience preferred

Duties

• Perform all duties of Level 1 Technician
• Maintain professional appearance and attitude
• Arrive on time and report to dispatcher
• Relocate between jobsites as dispatched
• Operate company vehicle safely and obey traffic laws
• Follow supervisor and dispatcher instructions
• Report equipment, tool, and vehicle issues promptly
• Communicate with customers and handle C.O.D. payments
• Work flexible schedules if required
• Gather and communicate information for service estimates
• Educate customers on maintenance agreements and additional services
• Develop basic electrical, refrigeration, and troubleshooting skills
• Perform filter changes and planned maintenance with assistance as needed
• Complete service forms accurately
• Attend training and continuing education (20 hours/year)
• Basic generator maintenance and reading wiring diagrams
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Varies greatly, including extreme conditions like heat, cold, wet, wind, and exposure to insects and animals.

Physical Demands
