Job summary

DynaTen Corporation, a Comfort Systems USA Company, is seeking an HVAC Service Technician I in Fort Worth, TX. You will perform preventive maintenance on small rooftop units and split systems, and handle routine service calls under supervision.

Applicants should have 1–3 years of HVAC service experience, EPA certification, and Texas TDLR registration. A strong customer-service mindset and solid communication are essential to represent DynaTen professionally in customer facilities and service

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of HVAC service experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC principles and components.
• 1–2 years routine maintenance incl. filter changes, coil cleaning, refrigerant checks.
• 1–2 years electrical and mechanical work using a multimeter and basic hand tools.
• Familiarity with residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.
• EPA certification and Texas TDLR registration.
• Strong customer-service mindset and communication skills.
• Commitment to integrity, safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on small rooftop units and split systems 10 tons and below.
• Complete routine service calls and maintenance activities.

• Assist with minor repairs under supervision.
• Support HVAC maintenance, repair and equipment-replacement needs.
• Troubleshoot issues and fix failures within proficiency.

• Complete service documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle, and work areas in a safe condition.

This developing technician role builds foundational technical capability while delivering professional customer service and following DynaTen safety and quality standards.Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive maintenance on small rooftop units and split systems of 10 tons and below.Complete routine service calls and maintenance activities.Communicate with customers regarding routine maintenance findings and minor equipment issues.Perform minor repairs under supervision.Work directly with customers to support HVAC maintenance, repair, and equipment-replacement needs.Troubleshoot HVAC issues and correct mechanical failures within the technician’s demonstrated level of proficiency.Follow established safety requirements and model safe work practices.Represent DynaTen professionally as a direct customer contact.Communicate equipment conditions, work performed, recommendations, and follow-up needs clearly to customers and Service leadership.Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.Maintain tools, equipment, vehicle, and work areas in a safe and professional condition.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QualificationsAt least 1-3 years of HVAC Service experience.Basic knowledge of HVAC principles, major system components, and air-conditioning systems.At least 1-2 years of experience performing routine maintenance, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and refrigerant-level checks.At least 1-2 years of basic electrical and mechanical experience, including use of a multimeter and basic hand tools to check voltage, capacitors, and electrical circuits.Familiarity with residential and light-commercial HVAC systems.EPA certification and Texas TDLR registration.Demonstrated customer-service mindset and technical aptitude.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Commitment to integrity, safety, and quality.Positive and self-motivated approach.Preferred QualificationsHVAC trade-school or apprenticeship training.OSHA 10 certification.What you can expectExceptional health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid Employee-Only Medical Coverage.In-house and manufacturer-led training and leadership development.Long-term career growth into operations, sales, technical, and/or leadership roles.Comprehensive benefits package and employer-sponsored professional memberships.401(k) match, PTO, holiday pay, and more.Stable work with a 40-hour guarantee.Working ConditionsWork is performed in customer facilities, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and indoor and outdoor Service environments. The role may require standing, walking, climbing ladders, bending, lifting, using tools, working around energized mechanical and electrical equipment, and exposure to weather, noise, and non-climate-controlled conditions. Required PPE and all company and customer safety procedures must be followed.
