Job summary

CoolSys is hiring an HVAC/R Technician in Chicago to perform repairs and maintenance on a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration equipment. The role requires 4+ years of commercial experience, an active EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

You will demonstrate strong customer relations, mechanical troubleshooting, and the ability to work safely at heights and lift up to 50 lbs. Expect a dynamic environment across multiple systems and industries.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of commercial experience as HVAC and Refrigeration Technician.
• Active EPA Certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment including air conditioning, motors, furnaces, boilers, and chillers.
• Diagnose problems and implement effective HVAC/R solutions.
• Coordinate with clients and provide high-quality service and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

The HVAC/R Technician role is primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment including air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers, RTUs, remote condensing units, ice machines, walk-in coolers & freezers, and upright refrigerators & freezers.

• Valid driver\'s license
