Responsibilities

• Run diagnostics, complete repairs, and perform routine maintenance on furnaces, heat pumps, and AC units.
• Educate customers on repairs and maintenance.
• Use iPad to create invoices and communicate with office.
• Travel to job sites within service area and coordinate with dispatch.
• Maintain stock and tools in vehicle.
• Document equipment with make/model/serial, fuel type and test results.
• Diagnose issues and procure parts; calibrate to manufacturer specs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Mikes Mechanical is looking for a HVAC Service Tech! The HVAC Service Tech will provide routine maintenance and service to residential customers as well as trouble shoot issues and provide solutions.Pay: $25 and up DOE1005 Warner AvenueLewiston, ID 83501Work Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.Essential Job FunctionsRuns diagnostics, completes repairs, and runs routine maintenance on residential gas furnaces, electric furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioning units, ductless mini-splits, duct work, etc.Educate customers by offering proactive repairs, system upgrades, and maintenance agreements.Use an iPad to create customer invoices and communicate with the office.Travel to job sites within the service area and work with dispatch to ensure schedule is maintained and delays are properly communicated to customer.Maintain proper stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in your company vehicle.Document all installed equipment upon arrival: make, model, serial number, type of fuel, necessary test measurements, and pictures as necessary.Diagnose diverse service issues, obtain and replacement parts, calibrate system to manufactures recommendations.Other duties as assigned.Work HoursThis is a non-exempt position.CompetenciesAbility to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time. Must be able to pass a background and drug screening.Work EnvironmentFrequently works in outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to uncomfortable temperatures and/or conditions. Occasionally exposed to wet, snow, hot and humid conditions. Subject to dark confined workspaces such as crawl spaces and attics.Physical DemandsModerate to heavy working conditions. Be comfortable with and physically able to safely help lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, stand for long periods of time, bend, crawl and kneel. Must be able to lift 100+ pounds at a time.Supervisory ResponsibilityNone. All questionable matters are referred to Supervisor.TravelMust have a valid driver license and clean driving history. Regular travel should be expected between Mike’s Mechanical Services and job sites.
