Job summary

Sensigreen Heating, Cooling & Insulation is hiring an HVAC Service Technician in Laceys Spring, AL. You will diagnose, service, and repair residential and light commercial systems with a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• EPA Certification required.
• HVAC service and troubleshooting experience preferred (2+ years).
• Valid driver’s license with insurable record.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform comprehensive HVAC inspections, including health and safety evaluations.
• Communicate findings and recommend repair or replacement options.
• Complete repairs safely and correctly the first time to minimize callbacks.
• Document service work in ServiceTitan with equipment info and materials used.
• Keep company vehicle clean and stocked.
• Protect customers' homes and leave jobsites clean.
• Coordinate with dispatch and management for outstanding service.
• Mentor apprentice technicians and participate in training.
• Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform comprehensive HVAC inspections, including health and safety evaluations.
• Clearly communicate findings and recommend repair or replacement options that best meet the customer's needs.
• Complete repairs safely, efficiently, and correctly the first time to minimize callbacks.
• Document all service work accurately using ServiceTitan, including equipment information, materials used, and completed repairs.
• Keep your company vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked.
• Protect customers' homes and leave every job site cleaner than you found it.
• Coordinate with dispatch, management, and other departments to ensure outstanding service.
• Promote the benefits of Sensigreen Club Memberships.
• Mentor and support apprentice technicians while helping develop the next generation of HVAC professionals.
• Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout requirements.
• Participate in ongoing technical and leadership training.

What We're Looking For

• EPA Certification (Required)
• High School Diploma or GED
• HVAC service and troubleshooting experience preferred (2+ years is ideal, but motivated candidates with the right attitude will be considered)
• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable using tablets, smartphones, GPS, and ServiceTitan or similar field service software
• Positive attitude with a team-first mentality

Physical Requirements

This position requires working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and other confined spaces. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
• Climb ladders and work at heights
• Stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and work in varying weather conditions
• Safely transport tools, equipment, and materials throughout the workday
