Total Mechanical Solutions is seeking a skilled HVAC Service & Installation Technician to join its growing service team in Central Virginia. You’ll diagnose, maintain, and install commercial systems while documenting work in ServiceTrade and collaborating with office and field staff.

Ideal candidates bring 2–4+ years of HVAC experience, EPA 608, and a clean driving record. This full-time role offers hourly pay ($30–$38+), benefits, and opportunities to upsell upgrades and maintenance agreements.

Qualifications

• 2–4+ years HVAC service/installation experience
• High school diploma; technical training or HVAC certifications
• EPA 608 Certification (Universal)
• Proficient reading of blueprints and schematics
• Strong communication and customer service
• Experience with ServiceTrade or similar field software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Sales-minded with ability to identify upgrade opportunities
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must meet physical demands (lifting 50+ lbs, climbing)
• Background check during onboarding

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems
• Install full HVAC systems including ductwork and electrical hookups
• Document work in ServiceTrade with notes and parts usage
• Recommend system replacements and maintenance agreements
• Review blueprints and wiring diagrams for service or installation
• Communicate with customers, office staff, and field personnel
• Participate in on-call emergency rotation
• Maintain cleanliness of service vehicles and tools
• Follow safety protocols and code compliance
