Job summary

Mullen Plumbing heating and cooling is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team. If you’re experienced, take pride in your craftsmanship, and enjoy mentoring others, this is the opportunity for you.

You will diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and light commercial systems, lead installations when needed, document service activity, and participate in on-call coverage while helping customers with clear options and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven HVAC service experience (residential and/or light commercial).
• EPA Universal Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Leadership or mentoring experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow issues accurately and efficiently.
• Recommend system improvements to enhance performance and energy efficiency.
• Lead or assist with light commercial and residential installations when needed.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians and apprentices.
• Communicate findings and service options professionally to customers.
• Document all service activities in company software.
• Participate in rotating on-call for emergency coverage.

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and airflow-related issues efficiently and accurately
• Recommend system improvements and upgrades to enhance performance and energy efficiency
• Lead or assist with light commercial and residential equipment installations when needed
• Provide guidance, support, and on-the-job training to junior technicians and apprentices
• Communicate professionally with customers, clearly explaining findings and service options
• Complete all service documentation accurately in company software
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule for emergency service coverage

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven HVAC service experience (residential and/or light commercial)
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
