Job summary

FH Furr Plumbing Heating and Electrical Inc is seeking an HVAC Selling Technician to diagnose and repair residential systems and confidently sell upgrades during service calls. Earn hourly plus commission with strong uncapped earnings potential.

Reporting to the Frederick, MD location, you can qualify for a $10,000 signing bonus and a $10,000 annual license bonus. The role offers top-tier compensation, company-provided truck and materials, and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• HVAC experience in residential service, repair or sales.
• EPA certification required; NATE is a plus.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to customers.
• Journeyman license and ongoing training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems.
• Identify when system replacement is in the homeowner's best interest.
• Educate customers and provide honest, professional recommendations.
• Sell new systems on the spot when appropriate during service calls.

What You’ll Do:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems efficiently and effectively
• Identify opportunities where a system replacement is in the homeowner’s best interest
• Educate customers on their options, providing honest and professional recommendations
• Sell new systems on the spot when appropriate, ensuring homeowners receive the best solutions for their comfort needs

What We’re Looking For:

• HVAC experience – 2+ years in residential HVAC service, repair, or sales
• Strong technical skills – Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of HVAC issues
• Sales-driven mindset – Confidence in recommending and selling new systems during service calls
• Excellent communication – Ability to explain technical issues in a way homeowners understand
• EPA certification (NATE certification is a plus!)
• A positive, customer-focused attitude
