Job summary

Moore Mechanical seeks an HVAC Retrofit Technician to upgrade and replace existing systems in residential and commercial buildings, delivering top workmanship and customer service.

Located in Metro Detroit, MI, the role offers a $28–$40/hour pay range based on experience, a $5,000 sign-on bonus for NATE certification, and benefits including health, 401(k), PTO, and more. Training and growth opportunities are provided as part of MM Acquisitions Group, LLC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC installation or retrofit experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand construction practices.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to lift 50+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Remove and replace existing HVAC systems and equipment.
• Install heating and cooling system upgrades in residential and commercial buildings.
• Modify ductwork, piping, and system components as needed.
• Ensure systems operate at maximum efficiency and performance.
• Troubleshoot installation challenges and resolve field issues.
• Maintain accurate job documentation, including materials, labor, and project updates.
• Work independently while maintaining company quality standards.
• Use tools, materials, and equipment responsibly and safely.
• Follow all company safety procedures and job site protocols.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Retrofit Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on upgrading and replacing existing HVAC systems in residential and commercial buildings while delivering high-quality workmanship and exceptional customer service.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of HVAC installation or retrofit experience preferred
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems and retrofit applications
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
• Skilled with hand and power tools
• Ability to read blueprints and understand basic construction practices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Minimum age of 18 required
