Job summary

Total Force Alliance, LLC seeks an HVAC Repair Technician to support the RCOH project for USS Harry S. Truman. This on-site role in Newport News, VA covers repairs and preventive maintenance on large HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, and associated equipment.

Candidates should have 1+ year of industrial HVAC experience, EPA/CFC refrigerant handling training, and ability to read schematics; a technical certificate is a plus, with shifts as required.

Qualifications

• 1 year or more Industrial HVAC experience.
• Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs.
• CFC Universal Certification or EPA-compliant refrigerant handling training.
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems including 5 to 200 ton units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers and chill water systems.
• Read schematics and use test equipment to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and improve HVAC systems on site.

HVAC REPAIR TECHNICIAN

We’re seeking a HVAC Repair Technician to support the advanced planning contract for the refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH) of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman. This position is 100% on-site in Newport News, VA.

The Role

The selected candidate will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on a variety of commercial HVAC systems. This will include 5 to 200 ton refrigerant units, centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, and chill water systems. Candidate should have CFC Universal Certification or equivalent with training for properly handling of refrigerant within guidelines established by EPA. Candidate should be experienced in maintenance and troubleshooting of various HVAC systems and the proficient use of test equipment; should be able to read and comprehend schematics.

Must Have

1 year or more Industrial HVAC experience. Must be able to work assigned shift as production needs

Nice to Have

Technical training or certificate a plus. Knowledge of troubleshooting commercial equipment. High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Target Salary Range

$52,000 - $70,000
