Hugee Corporation is seeking a motivated, experienced Commercial HVAC Refrigeration Technician - Cold Side to join our growing team! This technician provides preventive maintenance inspections, installations, and responds to emergency service calls on refrigeration (walk-in coolers, freezers, ice merchandisers, etc.) and HVAC equipment (RTUs, split systems, etc.). The position is mobile to service our commercial accounts, and a take-home company vehicle is provided. The successful candidate has a strong background in commercial refrigeration and HVAC maintenance, repair, and installation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience
• Commercial refrigeration experience is a MUST - walk-in coolers, freezers, open air cases
• Install & repair compressors, motors, controls, etc.
• Experience with walk-in coolers, freezers, display cases, ice machines, beverage dispensers, split systems, package units, etc.
• EPA Universal CFC Certification
• Proficient in troubleshooting systems, performing startups, system restarts, refrigerant leak checks, and rigging

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on all commercial refrigeration systems and HVAC equipment
• Conduct unsupervised repairs for emergency and non-emergency situations
• Maintain and install various refrigeration equipment, including walk-ins, freezers, display cases, ice machines, and racks
• Install, repair, and replace components such as compressors, motors, fans, valves, and controls
• Respond promptly to service calls, minimizing disruption
• Handle refrigerants responsibly, adhering to environmental regulations
• Work effectively with team members and assist as needed
• Communicate clearly with team, supervisors, and customers; assess repair needs and downtime
• Maintain records of work performed, refrigerant inventories, and truck inventory
• Complete EPA-required documentation and perform leak repairs and rechecks

• Be available for on-call and after-hours emergency service
