Job summary

Duke Careers seeks an HVAC & Refrigerator Specialist to maintain, repair, and optimize a wide range of HVAC and refrigeration systems across Duke facilities. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and support energy efficiency initiatives, working with a collaborative facilities team.

The role requires 6 years of HVAC experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid NC driver's license, with opportunities to contribute to patient care, education, and research missions

Qualifications

• Six (6) years of HVAC experience or equivalent.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and maintenance procedures.
• Knowledge of building automation and energy efficiency practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Diagnose issues using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control systems.
• Repair motors, compressors, belts, and related components.
• Maintain and repair pneumatic and electronic controls and building automation systems.
• Operate in accordance with safety regulations and Duke standards.
