Job summary

Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Licensed HVAC/Refrigeration Specialist to support patient-centered care by maintaining and repairing hospital utilities, equipment, and environmental systems. You will complete and coordinate maintenance and work orders, perform tests on regulated items, and report progress to Supervisors.

Requires 5+ years of experience, journeyman certificate or equivalent, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• HVAC/Refrigeration certification or equivalent required/maintained if licensure.
• Journeyman certificate or equivalent preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete and facilitate basic and complex work orders and preventative maintenance as directed.
• Coordinate with staff and contractors for projects and reporting to Lead/Supervisor.
• Perform tests and document regulated items; correct deficiencies promptly.
• Communicate status of work orders to department customers and managers.
• Assist design phases to integrate new work into existing systems; inspect contracted work.
