Job summary

System Support is seeking an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician in Troy, Ohio. This full-time role involves repairs, maintenance, and monitoring of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience, a high school diploma or GED, and must hold a Universal Refrigerant Certification. Hospital maintenance experience is preferred. Emergency on-site availability is required for repairs and shutdowns.

HVAC/REFRIG TECH / Full Time

80 HRS PER PAY PERIOD / 7AM to 3:30PM / WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS

An HVAC/Refrigeration Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repairs, preventive maintenance, monitoring, and testing of HVAC, Medical Gas, and Refrigeration equipment. Responsible for the upkeep, operation, cleanliness, and safety of all HVAC/Refrigeration/Med Gas equipment associated with the infrastructure of the hospital. Ensures all of The Joint Commission (TJC) requirements are completed. Participates in department and craft meetings and uses correct safety work habits. Must be available and onsite for all emergencies, shut-downs or repairs as requested.

Demonstrates prompt and courteous services to customers and is able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff within the organization. Executes independent judgment under the implied guidelines of Premier Health’s quality, customer satisfaction, positive work environment and financial stewardship goals.

Education

• Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED

Licensure/Certification/Registration

Experience

• Minimum Level of Experience Required: 5 - 7 years of job related experience
• Prior job title or occupational experience: Minimum of five years working in the HVAC trade.
• Prior specific functional responsibilities: General construction/ maintenance experience on HVAC, refrigeration, and medical gas systems.
