Job summary

GUARANTEED MECHANICAL INC in New Jersey is seeking a skilled HVAC/R Technician to install, maintain, repair and overhaul a range of equipment including refrigeration systems, heating and cooling, and commercial kitchen gear. You will work with a team and also independently, delivering high-quality workmanship.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, ability to read blueprints, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and lift up to 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• HVAC service technician experience required.
• Refrigeration equipment experience required.
• EPA certification required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience with chillers, heat pumps, air handlers and geothermal systems preferred.
• Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and lift up to 40 pounds.
• Availability to work after hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to work in confined spaces.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Reliable mode of transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective maintenance and installation of refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, ventilation and plumbing applications.
• Install, maintain and repair package units, split systems, boilers and other mechanical equipment.
• Maintain ventilation systems and rebuild equipment as needed.
• Repair HVAC/R and commercial kitchen equipment for residential and commercial customers.
• Ensure OSHA-compliant safety and test laboratory air flows.
• Read blueprints and connect ductwork and piping as required.
• Service and repair pumps, valves, piping, and motor/controls systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical components and wiring in HVAC equipment.
• Perform general plumbing repairs and minor electrical work as needed.
• Provide high-quality workmanship and customer service on every job.
