Job summary

The Jamar Company in Windsor, CO is seeking a Journeyman HVACR Technician. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting HVACR systems for commercial and industrial customers.

This role requires completion of a technical program and possessing a CFC/EPA Universal Certification. Pay ranges from $22.78 to $45.40 per hour depending on your classification and union wage step.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

To successfully perform this role, an individual must be able to carry out each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements outlined below represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the position.   • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVACR systems for commercial and industrial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components within HVACR systems.
  • Interpret work orders and carry out assigned tasks with minimal direction. Accurately enter and close work orders using the Service software platform.
  • Operate a variety of tools, equipment, and machines necessary for daily operations.
  • Request and requisition repair parts, materials, and equipment as needed.
  • Perform all work in compliance with established safety procedures, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Take on additional assignments and responsibilities as needed or requested.
  • Consistently adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
  • Completion of a one or twoyear technical program in HVAC Service/Technology PLUS the corresponding HVAC experience required for Journeyman qualification.
  • Must possess CFC/EPA Universal Certification.
  • Proficient in HVACR equipment and techniques, with the ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and applicable industry standards.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends, holidays, and emergency oncall assignments as needed.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to represent the company professionally, ethically, and in alignment with our values and mission.
  • Computer proficiency with the ability to learn and use a service software platform.
Other Details
  • This position will support the Windsor, CO territory and surrounding areas.
  • Must join Local UA Chapter union.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license and remain in good standing in accordance with company driving policy.

Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay: $22.78 - $45.40 per hour depending on classification and union wage step per Local 208 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Benefits are provided through the Local 208 union organization.
