Job Summary
This position is responsible for the HVAC-R maintenance and/or repair of a variety of specialized equipment in assigned 7-Eleven stores within a geographic area. Service calls are initiated from the store via 7Help work orders to the technician. The role reports to the Area Facilities Manager.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to work orders for in-store equipment, including HVAC, refrigeration, beverage equipment, and ice makers.
- Handle plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance issues.
- Perform preventative and basic maintenance on structures and equipment such as dispensers, POS systems, computers, security, HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, signs, and pumps.
- Replace 'plug and play' equipment as needed.
- Prioritize and schedule daily duties and work assignments.
- Perform minor repairs on hoses, nozzles, filters, decals, etc.
- Manage parts inventory and complete reports daily.
- Inspect equipment to determine if servicing or further action is needed.
- Possess knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
- Use hand and power tools applicable to the job.
- Understand refrigerant recovery and disposal procedures.
- Perform preventative maintenance following guidelines.
- Follow safety procedures and use monitoring/control devices.
- Apply mechanical or electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Lead and oversee work of direct service providers in HVAC trade.
- Follow oral and written instructions and establish cooperative relationships.
- Assist with training less experienced technicians.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safely braze refrigerant lines and components.
- Complete additional duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High School/GED preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
- EPA 608 Certification (Type I, II, or Universal).
Knowledge and Skills
- Demonstrate leadership and peer support skills.
- Effective communication and facility ownership.
- Ability to lead teams and manage projects.
