Mechanical Systems and Service (MSS) is a Crete United company based in West Monroe, LA. MSS specializes in heating, ventilating, and air conditioning. It is a great time to join us as we expand throughout the state and beyond.

We are looking to hire a Commercial HVAC technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of HVAC service experience and an EPA certification. This full-time position offers great benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.

The technician will service the Monroe, Shreveport, and Alexandria areas.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine repairs to pump seals, bearings, etc.
• Inspect and test systems for compliance and malfunctions.
• Address customer concerns with HVAC and boiler systems.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Record faults, deficiencies, and work details on work orders.
• Adjust system controls to manufacturer-recommended settings.
• Perform maintenance procedures such as cleaning, lubricating, and filter changes.
• Install auxiliary components following blueprints.
• Study blueprints and specifications for proper installation.
• Fabricate or install ductwork or chassis parts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial HVAC maintenance experience.
• EPA certification.
• Ability to troubleshoot various HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and control systems.
• Willingness to learn about commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to read electronic schematics.
• High School diploma or GED, plus relevant work experience.
