Responsibilities
  • Prepare complete mechanical services estimates for assigned projects, either directly or with team collaboration.
  • Review proposal specifications, drawings, and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and estimate contents.
  • Create estimates by calculating scope of work takeoffs.
  • Coordinate estimating efforts related to specific bids or projects.
  • Follow awarded contracts, including estimating/pricing extra work, change orders, procuring materials, etc.
Qualifications
  • 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • Working knowledge of CAD; Revit experience preferred.
  • At least 2 years of estimating, cost control, or engineering experience in similar facilities.
  • Knowledge of estimating techniques, cost control, and interpreting computerized cost data.
  • Thorough knowledge of plumbing and HVAC systems; Mast License a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic computer programs; estimating software knowledge desirable.
  • Willingness to undergo continued training in advanced estimating disciplines.
