Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current and valid driver's license.
• Four years of job-related experience.
• Must possess a current and valid Class 1 and Class 2 Refrigerant Handlers Certification.
• Willing to obtain and maintain Boiler Operator's and Steam Engineer's permit within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains, repairs and services HVAC-R equipment in district buildings.
• Participates in refrigerant tracking to comply with EPA/DOT regulations.
• Undergoes boiler inspections and combustion analysis for safety and energy efficiency.
• Inspects HVAC-R systems, ductwork, dampers, and air distribution equipment.
• Collaborates with Energy Management on temperature controls and Indoor Air Quality plans.
• Assists in training apprentices and coordinating work with temporary staff.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
