Job summary

City Facilities Management (US) LLC seeks an HVAC/R Technical Trainer to lead classroom and lab instruction on commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, and building controls in the Seattle area. The role supports Boeing facilities training and involves travel to regional teams and training centers.

The candidate will design curricula, deliver hands-on diagnostics and programming, and collaborate with SMEs to keep content current with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years' experience in commercial HVAC/refrigeration/controls with at least 5 years in technical training.
• Strong knowledge of BAS/EMS platforms and HVAC/R control programming.
• Ability to deliver effective classroom and lab instruction.
• Experience designing and maintaining technical training programs.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom and hands-on training on HVAC/refrigeration and building controls.
• Develop training curricula aligned with industry standards and operational needs.
• Lead lab-based learning focusing on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and programming.
• Adapt instructional methods for diverse learner needs.
• Assess trainee progress via assessments, exams and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with SMEs and field technicians to reflect current tools and best practices.
• Maintain currency on HVAC/R tech, refrigerants, energy standards, BAS/EMS, and related programming.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and safety requirements including EPA 608 and ASHRAE.
