Responsibilities

The Apprentice (HVAC) supports installation teams by completing tasks safely, accurately, and professionally, following customer specifications, building codes, and piping practices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install equipment as per project requirements under the guidance of senior technicians, including HVAC systems, piping, ductwork, etc.
• Perform work safely, responsibly, and with proper PPE and tools.
• Report safety or quality concerns promptly.
• Maintain clean and professional job sites, properly storing and disposing of materials.
• Assist senior technicians as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Install piping types including PVC, copper (brazing), and copper line sets.

Qualifications

Education / Training

• High school diploma, GED, or completion of trade/technical program.
• 1+ years of experience in construction, refrigeration, HVAC, or related fields preferred.

Work Experience / Skills

• Ability to operate a scissor lift or forklift preferred.
• Proficient in soldering, brazing, and MIG welding.
• Knowledge of safety practices, tools, and electrical systems related to HVAC.
• Ability to read plans and customer specifications.
• Punctual, dependable, and able to work independently.
• Capable of working in various conditions, including heights, outdoors, noisy environments.
• Proficient with basic computer tools like email, Word, Excel.
