Job summary

Romanoff Group of Companies is seeking a qualified HVAC Purchasing Agent to join our award-winning team. You will create and issue purchasing orders, collaborate with project teams, and negotiate pricing and availability with vendors.

The role supports project managers, ensures adherence to purchasing procedures, and contributes to accurate cost projections while working in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of Electrical/HVAC installation or engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical/HVAC systems including switchgears, panel boards, panels, emergency generator and/or HVAC units.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel) and Bluebeam.
• Supply Chain and Logistics knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide project managers and construction managers on purchasing procedures.
• Ensure all purchasing procedures are followed in a professional manner.
• Adhere to purchasing policies, processes and procedures.
• Review submittals and bills of material.
• Assist with procurement issues.
• Use knowledge of material to acquire required equipment and related installation material.
• Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on budget and schedule.
• Establish relationships with vendors.
• Collaborate with other functions on cost projections.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Standard Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm. MUST be willing to be flexible as jobs may change.

Position Summary:

A HVAC Purchasing Agent is responsible for creating and issuing purchasing orders. The Purchasing Agent will collaborate with project team to place these orders and work with vendors to negotiating pricing/availability of products.

Position Responsibilities:

• Support and guide the project managers and construction managers on purchasing procedures.

• Assist with procurement issues.
• Uses knowledge of material to acquire required equipment and related installation material.
• Negotiates best vendor terms, pricing and delivery based on specific budget and schedule requirements.
• Establish relationships with our vendors.
• Work with other job functions on accurate cost projections.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required: 2+ years of Electrical/HVAC Installation or Engineering experience
• Required: Knowledge of Electrical/HVAC systems such as, but not limited to Switchgears, Panel Boards, Panels, Emergency Generator and/or HVAC Units and parts
• Required: Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.) and Bluebeam.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics a plus

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
