Job summary

Texas Chiller Systems in San Antonio seeks a hands-on Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial HVAC service, retrofit, equipment replacement, and construction projects from turnover through completion.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal departments.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchasing, billing, and project documentation.
• Monitor project costs, labor performance, risks, and projected margins.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and customer expectations.
• Lead project kickoff, progress, and closeout activities.

What You’ll Do

• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, labor, materials, and subcontractors
• Maintain an active jobsite presence and support field teams
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, vendors, and internal departments
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, purchasing, billing, and project documentation
• Monitor project costs, labor performance, risks, and projected margins
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and customer expectations
• Lead project kickoff, progress, and closeout activities

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of mechanical project management, field supervision, trade leadership, or related experience preferred
• Hands-on technical trade experience required
• Commercial HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read plans, specifications, scopes, and equipment documentation
• Working knowledge of scheduling, job costing, procurement, and change management
• Strong customer communication, organization, and field problem-solving skills
• Experience with COINS, Procore, Bluebeam, or similar systems is a plus
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly to jobsites

This is a full-time position that divides time between the office, customer locations, and active jobsites.
