Job summary

THR Partners in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced engineer to design and implement custom commercial HVAC equipment for diverse environments such as supermarkets, schools, and offices. You will conceptualize solutions, develop designs, and support manufacturing and testing.

The role involves assisting Sales with design submittals, performing psychrometric analyses, selecting components, and preparing bills of materials for purchasing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years design or engineering experience.
• Experience designing for commercial HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, develop, and implement engineering projects for custom commercial HVAC equipment.
• Assist Sales with preliminary design, submittals and analysis of contractor specifications.
• Perform psychrometric analysis of design requests.
• Perform design/development tasks using CAD tools and in-house software.
• Select components and prepare bills of materials for purchasing.
• Assist Purchasing in supplier qualification and procurement.
• Develop unit sequence of operation and select DDC components.
• Provide unit operation sequences to electrical for wiring diagrams.
• Prepare production instructions and troubleshoot equipment before shipment.
