The HVAC Project Engineer is a detail-oriented and proactive individual who supports project planning, scope definition, coordination, and analysis after an initial project concept has been identified. The role works closely with project developers, estimators, project managers, engineers, subcontractors, clients, and operations leaders to help ensure projects are clearly scoped, budgeted, scheduled, and prepared for execution.
The HVAC Project Engineer plays an important role in translating early project needs into actionable pre-construction documents, supporting contractor engagement, identifying risks, and aligning scope, cost, schedule, and constructability expectations before handing off to the project execution team. The ideal candidate has strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to prepare basic project definition documents, review drawings and specifications, support estimating efforts, coordinate site walks, and contribute to design and constructability reviews.
