Job description

What you will do

Apprentices will perform all pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment service, along with other work assigned under the labor agreement, limited by their capabilities as determined by the Employer. Work will be performed at the apprentice rate of pay and under the Employer’s supervision. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, resolving problems, responding to warranty calls, and keeping JCI, contractors, and customers informed of progress and issues as needed.

Qualifications Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment
  • EPA Refrigeration certification a plus
  • The ability to perform general building maintenance
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently
  • Must possess a current driver’s license
  • Willingness to supplement on-the-job training with training provided through the apprenticeship program
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

**This is a Bargaining Unit Position**

Pay Range: Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
