Job summary

KH Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician with an HVAC & Plumbing focus in Jackson, MS. You will perform HVAC maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance aligned to your experience level, while developing broader skills.

Candidates with HVAC, plumbing, or general apartment maintenance experience are welcome; EPA certification is preferred. Compensation is based on experience, with full benefits and opportunities for growth within KH Properties.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, construction, or related trade experience preferred.
• EPA Certification (Type I, II, or Universal) preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow established processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance appropriate to your experience level.
• Assist with or independently diagnose HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and maintenance issues based on your experience and training.
• Complete work orders accurately and efficiently while documenting work through company systems.
• Maintain detailed records of materials, time, and repairs according to company processes.
• Ensure all HVAC work meets compliance and safety standards, following a structured and consistent approach.
• Support apartment turns, preventative maintenance, capital improvements, and special projects as assigned.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work area with respect for personal and resident spaces.
