Job summary

Modigent Company is seeking a skilled Welder (HVAC Piping) in Salt Lake City to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems for commercial HVAC and mechanical applications. You will TIG and SMAW weld on carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper, following strict codes and quality standards in fast-paced construction environments.

Read blueprints and P&IDs, measure and fit pipe, purge welds, and test for leaks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable pipe welding experience in HVAC/mechanical piping.
• AWS Certified Welder or equivalent preferred; ASME IX qualification a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied environments.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, fit, align, and install piping systems for HVAC and mechanical applications.
• Perform high-quality multi-position welding (TIG and SMAW).
• Read and interpret blueprints, P&IDs, specs, and shop drawings.
• Prepare pipe ends, fit, weld, and purge as needed.
• Inspect welds and perform pressure/leak tests per standards.
• Travel to project sites and work overtime when required.
