Modigent is hiring a Welder (HVAC Piping) to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair piping systems for commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical applications. Work primarily with TIG and SMAW on carbon steel, stainless, copper, and alloys, delivering leak-free welds that meet code standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on training, mentorship, and clear advancement paths, with nationwide project work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of verifiable pipe welding experience.
• High school diploma or GED; trade school preferred.
• AWS Certified Welder or ASME IX qualification preferred; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, fit, align, and install piping systems for HVAC and mechanical applications.
• Perform multi-position TIG and SMAW welding with precision root/filler passes.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs, and drawings to plan welding sequences.
• Prepare pipe ends, bevel, thread, and fit fittings.
• Set up and maintain welding equipment; conduct pre/post-weld prep.
• Inspect materials and ensure joint preparation meets standards.
• Perform visual and NDT as qualified; test for leaks and pressure.
• Install valves, flanges, hangers, and piping accessories.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping; follow OSHA and site protocols.
• Travel to project sites and work overtime as needed.
