Job summary

Amentum seeks a Pipefitter - HVAC to work onsite at the NASA Johnson Space Center. The role involves comprehensive pipefitting tasks including welding, threading, MJ fittings, and copper work, using a torch and pipe machine. A high school diploma or GED is required, or 5 years of relevant experience.

The candidate must be a U.S. citizen to obtain NASA badges, and be able to lift 40 lbs and work in a hot, noisy environment. Prior NASA or government installation experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Background in pipefitting work and ability to fit weld, threaded, MJ fittings.
• Welding and torch operations for pipework.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs. and work in hot/noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Fit weld fittings.
• Fit threaded fittings.
• Fit MJ fittings.
• Use Oxy-Gas torch.
• Operate Rigid 535 pipe machine.
• Fit copper fittings.
• Bolt-up flanges.
• Sweat copper.
• Take off for 4” standard 45° butt-weld.
