B&I Contractors, Inc. in Florida’s Tampa area is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Foreman to oversee HVAC piping installation on commercial projects. You will ensure safety, on-schedule work, and code compliance while leading a skilled crew.

Candidates should have five years of HVAC piping experience, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans and coordinate with project teams. We offer NCCER training, health insurance, vacation, ESOP, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of HVAC piping experience including journeyman-level work.
• Strong understanding of codes, commercial HVAC systems, blueprints, and construction methods.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods and requirements.
• Proficiency with scheduling or reporting tools (Microsoft Office, Procore, planning calendars).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily crew activities to ensure quality, safety, and productivity.
• Attend weekly job site meetings in-person to communicate and address constraints.
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, submittals, and job orders to determine work methods and requirements.
• Plan, organize, and assign tasks to effectively utilize labor, equipment, and materials.
• Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Provide hands-on training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices and journeymen.
